Know Your Choices!

Patriotism is the lifeblood of a nation. Who is not stirred by stories of devotion to our flag and our principles which have been passed down to us through the history of our wars, our struggles, and our triumphs?  American was built on the backs of those devoted to the causes of freedom and liberty. During the time of our country’s revolution and founding, great patriots wrote letters, articles, and even books using pen names or aliases. These names were used to protect them from the threats of the mother country, a country of which they were still citizens!

Today, a similarly aggressive government is rising in America.  Poor Richardson is dedicated to bringing to light the real plans and desires of those who hope to change or ignore the foundational documents forged with the blood of American Patriots.  Much like the original Poor Richard, Poor Richardson seeks to enlighten and entertain, but most of all to AWAKEN his countrymen to the threats posed by ever increasing federal government power and scope. The Founding Fathers created a Constitution specifically to create boundaries for the powers necessary to govern a free and independent people.  Today’s “leaders” have a very different view of their own role.

What can America do in the face of encroaching government infringements on our liberties?  We are at a pivotal point in history, clearly as important as the founding era.  To echo Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address, Can a nation conceived in Liberty endure? We as Americans must educate ourselves; must familiarize ourselves with and remind ourselves of our founding documents.  We can not rely, unfortunately, on the educations we have received in our schools, with watered down curricula and misinformed teachers.

The books offered on this site are a great way to to read and be made aware of the text and the purposes of our Founding Documents.  How long has it been since you read the Declaration of Independence?  It is refreshingly simple.  Its tone and fervor are as powerful today as they were over 200 years ago, and, like many of those early documents, offers simple and direct solutions to to very complex problems. The issues we are dealing with as a nation may be very complex, but that doesn’t mean the solutions must be.  In fact, one of the reasons for our national difficulties is our moving away from the simple documents that started us out in the first place.

The books offered on this site make excellent gifts or tools to help others who are yet uninformed or undecided about our government’s true history and intent.  Instead of becoming frustrated at those around you who don’t have a grasp of the issues that face us, why not supply them with the tools they need to choose truth?  You can purchase multple copies of these books at discounted prices, allowing for self-education and aid to others at the same time.

When we know and are reminded of the greatness of our founding; When we develop simple and straightforward answers to our problems; When we share with others the things that we have learned in our historical study, then we will be able to help restore the freedoms that have made America great. The books available on this site can help us to accomplish all of these things and more… to be able to pass onto children an inheritance of freedom, liberty, and patriotism.
